In short
Recsavo records your screen on your computer. Video, audio and camera frames are processed locally and never sent to us. The beta has no server side, no accounts and no analytics.
What stays with you
Recordings and their covers — in browser storage (OPFS) and your Downloads folder. Settings and the recordings list — in extension storage. Removing the extension removes that browser data; downloaded MP4s stay yours.
What goes over the network
In the current beta — nothing: it has no server, accounts, analytics or cloud upload. When upload to your Google Drive (access only to files Recsavo creates) or Yandex Disk (app folder) arrives, the file will go straight to them and only when you click; the sign-in token will be kept until the browser closes.
Google data
Recsavo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Recsavo does not sell data, use it for advertising or share it with third parties; access is only used to upload the file you choose.
Licenses (when Pro arrives)
To check a purchased key, the extension will send the key, a random install ID, the extension version and browser type to the license server. The ID is not linked to your identity and is used for nothing but license checks.
Extension permissions
Tab, screen and camera recording and the microphone — only after your action. Recsavo has no standing access to websites: the recording panel appears on a page only when you start recording that tab.
This website
Static pages with no cookies, counters or third-party scripts. The Vercel hosting keeps technical request logs (IP address, time), like any web server. The online recorder runs in your browser and uploads nothing.
Contact
A support address will be published together with the store listings. The extension collects no data that would need to be requested or deleted: everything stays with you and is removed with it.
